Baker is a Swiss singer/songwriter who found fame aged just 19 when is debut single ‘Lucky’ took over the radio waves in his homeland. In 2011 he released his first album “Tomorrow May Not Be Better,” thus launching his successful music career. The LP’s release assured the single ‘Lucky’ a regular place high in the charts and its tracks echoed the same artistic approach: touching honesty, instantly catchy melodies, charming charisma, and clever arrangements. The follow up album ‘Too Old to Die Young‘ was released two years later, and saw him experiment with richer instrumentation and songs with more accomplished and mature lyrics.

Bastian Baker is already a household name in his native country of  Switzerland and in 2014, he coached rising talent on “The Voice Belgique”. It’s little surprise that he has been chosen to open for Shania Twain this year, as the Canadian singer has lived in Switzerland for over a decade and so is obviously very familiar with the music of Baker, who now lives in New York.
